Certain to become your favorite shrub in the garden, Opening Day™ takes its name from its bold white 3 inch bloom clusters, which really do look like baseballs! This deciduous Doublefile Viburnum regales you with spring to summer blooms and lush, dense green foliage that turns handsome shades of burgundy, maroon, and violet in autumn!
Fully 5 to 10 feet high and nearly as wide, Opening Day™ is tightly branched and very full, creating a fine specimen, background planting for the border, or foundation standout. The new foliage leafs out bright green in spring, with nice veining that stands out even more when it turns color in fall.
By the end of spring, Opening Day™ has covered itself in 3 inch diameter round clusters of blooms! The flowers open with a green tinge, then mature to pure white. Expect many dozen all over this huge shrub!
Very easy to grow and amenable to many environmental stresses, Opening Day™ is a great choice for any sunny garden spot. Rely on it for a home run in your landscape! Zones 5-8.
