Description
It's easy to indulge in these multicolored shrubs—one could just never be enough. In spring, the new growth on the variegated foliage emerges bright lavender and fuchsia and, with age, turns dark olive green. And although the tiny spring flowers are insignificant and mostly hidden in the foliage, they are extremely fragrant.
Slow growing, this false holly maintains a compact, rounded growth habit and remains evergreen, perfect for a formal hedge, a privacy screen for a patio, or even an accent or topiary. To encourage bushiness and its colorful new growth, prune in late winter.
