Description

Perfect for hot summer and cold winters

Remains evergreen.

A breeding breakthrough, this Lavandula Phenomenal™ is perfectly suited to the hotter summers and colder winters of our climate. And it's beautiful enough for every gardener to love.

Lavandula Phenomenal™ doesn't die back in winter, remaining evergreen even in challenging climates. The high heat and humidity of summer won't faze it either, and it is not subject to mildew and other foliar diseases. This is one hardy perennial, prepared to take the worst that Mother Nature can dish out.

This marvelously fragrant, compact plant offers blue blooms held above silvery foliage, standing out in any sunny setting. Both the flowers and the foliage are aromatic. Just 24 to 32 inches high and wide, Phenomenal™ flowers most intensely early in its season—late spring through early summer—then continues intermittently for most of the summer.

Use Phenomenal™ in borders, meadows, mass plantings, and patio containers of all types. It asks only good soil drainage and plenty of sunshine.

Beautiful so far!

This shopper rated the product 4 out of 5 stars

Testing this lavender, missing the scent from my Yankee garden. We've had a very wet, typically humid summer on the Gulf Coast. Two of three plants are doing Very Well - 4x size in 2.5 months. The third died, no pest, no standing water, not sure why but it turned grey (as they do in winter) and I finally cut it down. Planted all in sandy soil on an incline with a topping of rotted oak chipping. Ordering more to continue testing. Dreaming of a wee lavender hedge...and 'phenomenal' just might make it possible! No bloom yet, but the scent is heavenly.
