This kit offers more than just Shiitake spawn, it is a fun new project for young children and a quick and simple way to save money on costly store bought gourmet mushrooms. Best of all you don't need a green thumb to grow this tasty crop, just make sure the bag is kept moist and sit back and enjoy three entire months of produce. You can expect about 4lbs of delectable gourmet mushrooms altogether.
Want to wait a little to start your mushrooms? No problem, you can refrigerate the spawn for 3 to 6 months and you're good to go. Please do not freeze the spawn and don't let them sit in sunlight.
