Let this beautiful Narcissus Welcoming Trumpets Mix announce the return of spring in your garden. This lovely blend of three premier, Dutch varieties provides an ideal mix of solid white, solid yellow, and white-and-yellow, all bearing wide, clear perianths (outer petals) and a long, elegant trumpet.
Eager to naturalize over the years in your garden, Narcissus Welcoming Trumpets Mix will become a centerpiece in your landscape. Easy to establish in your sunny to partly shaded garden, daffodils are perennial in hardiness zones 3 through 8, and over time they spread into larger colonies. Give them well-worked, well-drained soil, and they will repay you with years of color.
This blend's 3 varieties, each the same height with the same and bloom time, produce flowers on stems about 16 inches high in early to mid-spring, with some variance based on climate. Sweetly fragrant, they fill the garden with fresh aroma signifying that another glorious growing season is underway.
Each trumpet daffodil bloom features a long, elegant central cup surrounded by wide outer petals. Cut the flowers for the vase or keep them as jewels in the gardeneither way, the blooms will last for several weeks. When the flowers are spent, wait several weeks until their stems turn brown and fall over (this will take several weeks). During this post-flowering period, the bulb is storing all the nutrients it needs for another season. For another season of color, try planting daylilies, irises, or other perennials with the daffodil.
