Coreopsis Sienna Sunset

Coreopsis verticillata 'Sienna Sunset' PP#20,470

This beautiful bloom, in shades of pastel orange and apricot with hints of salmon is a sport of the 'Creme Brulee' specimen. The Sienna Sunset Coreopsis has a longer blooming season than many other variety of perennials. These 1 ½ inch blooms start life as a beautiful shade of pastel orange, and gradually mature to shades of apricot and salmon.

Sienna Sunset is a superb choice for butterfly gardens, and love full sun. They grow best in dry to moist soil with good drainage. They are deer resistant too, so you don't have to worry about nature's critters getting at your blooms! These lush, densely branched blooms are cold hardy as well as heat and drought tolerant, and disease and pest resistant.

Sienna Sunset offers mid-green foliage that that nestle discreetly below the blooms. And unlike many Threadleaf Coreopsis, the Sienna Sunset shows a breakthrough resistance to powdery mildew, which can plague these plants. The beautiful cultivar stays fresh looking and healthy even if you live in a zone where summers are humid, long, and hot.
