Description / Soft Whisper Hybrid Tea Rose
Fantastically romantic and heavenly scented, Soft Whisper charms you with elegance rather than blowing you away with bold color.
This popular hybrid is an ideal cut flower. The lovely 4- to 5-inch coral-pink-edged cream colored blooms lighten up any room. The long, 14- to 18-inch stems look great in a tall vase. The blooms' enticing, sweet fragrance is so robust that one rose can fill a room with intoxicating, fruity aroma.
Soft Whisper grows to a versatile size of 4 feet high and wide, leaving an assortment of options for placement in your garden display. The compact shrub makes a nice, clean presentation with beautiful dark-green foliage.
Thriving in medium-moisture, slightly acidic, well-drained loam and full sun, Soft Whisper needs regular, hand watering, deep and preferably in the morning, and a spot with good air circulation. Summer mulch is recommended as an aid to retain moisture, cool roots and thwart the growth of weeds.
NOTE: Tree and patio roses are hardy to Zone 6 regardless of the rose variety grafted to their tops.

Very impressed 0 people found this helpfulI generally prefer solid colored roses, but ordered Soft Whisper this year. I ordered very late in the season, when many varieties were already sold out. I have been very impressed with this rose. In it's first year, it is blooming profusely, as compared with others I ordered at the same time. Mine have much more dark pink on the edges right from the start, than the photo, and it continues to turn more pink over several days. Not only does it smell great, but it last extremely well in the vase. Great Rose!

May become a 5 start 0 people found this helpfulSo far, this rose is doing really well in our zone 9b garden. It is in a large pot, growing very vigorously, and seems to love the hot weather we have been having recently. Two blooms so far, which smelled wonderful, though did not look like the picture. There are numerous buds developing, so maybe we'll get the look that we purchased it for. If we do, the rating goes to 5 stars. Give it a try!
