Espoma Organic Potting Mix is composed of 35-45% sphagnum peat moss as well as humus and perlite. It is fortified with earthworm castings, alfalfa meal, kelp meal, feather meal, and yucca extract and is enhanced with Myco-tone®, a proprietary blend of endo and ecto mycorrhizae that's proven to build bigger, stronger root systems. Plants with greater root surface area absorb nutrients and water better, which makes them more tolerant of drought and other environmental stressors. In addition, the added organic matter improves the soil structure, making it spongey and water retentive, so there's more moisture available to your plants; as a result, you'll use up to 30% less water than with ordinary soils. Soil enhancers and additives aerate the soil, increase beneficial microorganisms, and add micro- and macro-nutrients, giving your plants every possible advantage.
