Description / Teasing Georgia™ Shrub Rose
The center petals are a rich, deep yellow color, while the outer petals fade to palest yellow. Forming a tight cup, the center petals are packed in a pretty pattern, and the outer petals fall back, giving the illusion of a tea cup on a saucer. You'll feel like you're sitting in a rose garden in England, and you'll just have to sip some tea as you appreciate these delicate beauties.
This English rose can be grown as a medium-sized shrub, or as a short climber. Perfect for borders and mass plantings, you can enjoy it just about anywhere in your garden. Teasing Georgia™ also looks extravagant winding down trellises and fences. Extremely hardy and disease resistant, this is the yellow rose you've been searching for.
You won't be able to resist cutting these roses for an indoor arrangement, so luckily they continue to bloom throughout the season. Teasing Georgia is the winner of the Henry Edland Medal in the 2000 R.N.R.S trials for the best scented variety, so if you're looking for fragrance that will grace your entire garden, this is the rose for you.

Stunning 0 people found this helpfulI live in Northern Alabama and my Teasing Georgia’s are all doing beautifully. They have beautiful color, shape and fragrance!! I fertilized in March and sprayed a Fungicide to treat Black Spot in April. I verbally admire them regularly.

Great in the South! 0 people found this helpfulI've had this rose growing on a 7' pillar in my Georgia garden for several years. It is magnificent! Very healthy, covered in blooms year after year. It is disease-resistant. It is so big now that I only wish I had trained it on a sturdy arch, as I haven't kept up as well as I should with training it on the pillar.

a favorite in my garden 0 people found this helpfulperfume is strong enough that it will draw you into the garden, I could actually smell it before I could see it. The bush grew taller than 4 feet in about 3 yrs. I ordered it dry root, planted it in the best soil l could build. It bordered the fence, it stood up well to the watering it got when the neighbor watered and then when I watered. The leaves are a shiny, rich green color. I don't recall ever fertilizing it, but every year it was massed with beautiful yellow roses. I did have some trouble with black spot but it may have been more because of the heavy watering (overhead by the neighbor) than anything else. I just trimmed those leaves off and the beautiful bush thrived. My favorite in that garden.
