Tulbaghia 'Savanna Lightning'
'Savannah Lighting' is a clumping evergreen perfect if you need a perennial to ward away unwanted pests. It boasts a tight, compact habit and bright shiny green foliage that contrasts to the pure white flowers. From spring into fall, and sometimes longer in frost free areas, arise slender stalks topped by small crisp white flowers. The foliage has a strong garlic-like odor on warm days and when bruised by touching or from frost. This smell is noted to keep away animals including cats, dogs, deer away and perhaps even snails and slugs! If you need a low border or edging for your lawn that pests will eave alone this is the perennial for you.
