The gorgeous blooms of the Vanilla Strawberry™ Hydrangea add a pop of rich color to every garden or flower bed. The flower heads begin their colorful journey as a pale green before changing to a luscious white. They then develop a delicate pink hue and finally turn to a dramatic strawberry red. Flower heads are constantly forming so all at once during the mid-summer months, you are likely to see the full spectrum of colors. These marvelous flower heads are heavy, so get ready to see the wispy weeping of branches after the first few blooming weeks.

The heat and humidity tolerant Vanilla Strawberry™ Hydrangea prefers full sun in the northern zones but would benefit from part shade further south. As with most hydrangeas, they love moist and well-drained soil. Plant these easy-going 6 to 7-foot hydrangeas and you are sure to receive visits from alluring butterflies. Zones 4-9.
