Description / Weigela Sonic Bloom® Pink
Sonic Bloom® Pink is a compact and very dense shrub, approximately 5 feet high and 5 feet wide, with brilliant rosy pink blooms in uncountable numbers amid the medium green foliage. It never needs deadheading, making it virtually maintenance free once established in the garden. What a great choice for the foundation, along the driveway, as a low hedge, or even in a mass planting.
Like all Weigela cultivars, Sonic Bloom® Pink is a magnet for hummingbirds, and is generally unpalatable to deer. Plant it fearlessly in an open or meadow garden, where it combines beautifully with perennials and other sun-loving shrubs. Adaptable, easy, and so long-blooming, it's a must-have this season.

Weigela Sonic Bloom Pink - Two Thumbs Up 14 people found this helpfulPurchased when first hit the market. Has been in the ground for a number of years. Current size: 6 to 6 1/2 ft high & about 8 ft in width. Have only pruned crossing branches & a little off the sides. Width could be a little more without pruning. Situated on a heavily traveled deer path surrounded by Walker's Low catmint. There have been nibbles but the shrub thrives. Very little care needed in my full sun location. First flush is as pictured above, after shrub is established. Continuous bloom until frost takes the leaves in my zone 5b Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania area. Subsequent flushes are not as dramatic as initial flush, but still beautiful. A great, low maintenance, beautiful, flowering shrub addition in my yard. Plan to plant more as a low maintenance, privacy hedge. Two thumbs up.

What a bloomer 10 people found this helpfulI've now had my Sonic Bloom for 8 years and it has never failed me yet! I moved it last fall and was so afraid I had lost it but this Spring it showed up like gang busters. I'm so happy with it.

Beautiful 7 people found this helpfulThis plant is awesome! The blooms are so abundant and a beautiful deep pink. We planted it and have done nothing else to it. Easy to take care of. Made it through our extra cold temps in East Texas this past winter.
