An old-fashioned favorite, 'White Dawn' combines vigorous growth and attractive, blackspot-resistant foliage with spectacular double white flowers that bloom from spring until the first frost! Often compared to gardenias for their ruffled form and creamy white color, these 3-inch flowers are redolent of grandmother's rose garden, with a rich, pervasive scent you will find highly addictive!

White Dawn is a climber, soaring as high as 20 feet and stretching to 6 feet wide. Its oversized habit makes it a great choice for threading through wooden fences and decorating the sides of pergolas and arbors. Of course, it is also a great companion to Clematis, and its size means that you can wind three or even four Clematis vines through its long, sturdy canes!

The child of popular climber 'New Dawn' and 'Lily Pons,' this fast-growing, robust climber needs little care and is highly resistant to oppressive heat and disease. Blackspot doesn't bother its dark green, leathery, thick foliage, making it highly desirable in humid climates. Expect it to rebloom faithfully all summer and into fall in most climates, outlasting many other roses in the garden for flower strength.

This heritage rose was introduced in 1949 by L. E. Longley, and continues to be one of the most gardenworthy of the climbers. You will find it very easy to maintain, beautiful season after season, fragrant and free-flowering. We highly recommend White Dawn to anyone serious about creating stunning vertical accents in the sunny landscape. Zones 5-9.
