Description
Days to Maturity: 100 from direct sow
This ghostly White Yam Sweet Potato Plant looks nothing like its golden-orange cousins, but has a sweet flavor as irresistible as its unusual white skin and flesh.
Easy to grow and nutritious, sweet potatoes also store well. Set these plants 12 to 15 inches apart in 3-foot rows in a sunny, well-drained spot. After harvest, cure the potatoes in a warm (85 degrees Fahrenheit is preferable) location for 2 weeks, then store at 60 degrees Fahrenheit for 6 to 8 weeks.
Bare Root Sweet Potato Definition:
Also known as slips.
Slips are sprouts grown from a mature sweet potato's eye.
Genetically identical to the parent potato.
A faster way to grow potatoes vs seed.
NOTE: Sweet potato plants are shipped separately from seed orders, at proper planting time for your area.
