Description / Deer Resistant Bulb Garden in a Bag
Plant these deer resistant bulbs before the first frost in fall, and in spring they bloom in a multicolored mix with complementary colors, bloom times, and plant heights, ranging between 4 to 18 inches tall. Deer Resistant Bulb Garden in a Bag contains 18 bulbs and 2 varieties: yellow daffodils (Narcissus) and glories of the snow (Chionodoxa). Each variety is individually bagged and labeled, for maximum versatility.
Often grown as annuals, these bulbs can be grouped in flower beds and borders, mixed in containers, or planted in sweeping drifts. Grown Zone appropriately in optimal conditions, these bulbs may naturalize, multiplying and returning for years.
These deer resistant bulbs are easy to grow in sunny to partially sunny locations with freely draining soil. Plant deer resistant bulbs 4 to 8 inches apart and 4 to 8 inches deep. When growth begins, feed bulbs with a well-balanced fertilizer, such as Espoma Organic® Bulb-tone® Bulb and Flower Food. Remove the flowers as soon as they fade but allow the leaves to yellow and wither before removing. Leaves continue to absorb nourishment that feeds the bulb, benefiting future growth and blooming. In USDA Zones 8-10, refrigerate the bulbs for no less than eight weeks.
