Discovered as a witch's broom mutation on the favorite Crimson Queen, this beautiful tree offers laceleaf foliage that opens bright pink in spring, then matures to crimson for summer and fall. The lobes on each leaf are long, very slender, and elegant, casting dramatic shadows on the patio and garden.
Just 3 to 4 feet high and wide at maturity, 'Scarlet Princess' benefits from pruning the first few seasons to shape it, but beyond that, it is maintenance-free in partial shade and rich, well-drained soil or good potting mix. Add this jewel to your landscape this season!
