Known as the 'hedge cotoneaster' for very good reason it makes a stunning hedge! It boasts clusters of shell pink flowers in mid-spring contrasted against dark green foliage throughout the season. It's green leaves mature to an outstanding scarlet during the fall. Valued for those showy fall colors it's also one of the toughest and hardiest of this genus. It's a relatively low maintenance shrub that can be pruned at anytime and it looks incredible as a mass planting or a privacy hedge. It will grow to be about 10 feet tall at maturity and it will fill out right to the ground and therefore doesn't necessarily require facer plants in the front.
