Hydrangea Invincibelle Sublime™ is a fantastic Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub that brings beauty to your garden all year round. This deciduous shrub has stunning flowers that keep blooming from early summer to late fall, often until the first frost, creating fluffy green clusters that look like clouds. The big bunches of tourmaline-green flowers, emerging on new wood, sit on strong stems with broad, dark green leaves, making them perfect for both fresh and dried arrangements that last a long time.
After the first frost, the flower clusters of this plant transform into tan to caramel hues, complemented by the shedding and peeling of papery brown bark on mature plants that unveil glimpses of the cinnamon hue of stems and branches, creating a delightful textural element in the winter garden, particularly charming against a snowy backdrop. Additionally, this plant attracts the hydrangea sphinx moth, and during winter, its hollow stems serve as nesting habitats for bees.
Invincibelle Sublime hydrangea is highly adaptable and very reliable. This shrub, with its dense, multistemmed and suckering growth, has a compact, mounding shape that allows it to thrive in various garden locations, including containers.
