Every spring bulb garden needs one or two exceptional varieties to stand out among all others, and Narcissus 'Ring of Fire' is our nominee for the daffodil display. This large-cupped (Division II) beauty offers very large blooms of white with a frilly ivory cup edged in pure red. There is no other like it to be had, and 'Ring of Fire' delights wherever it is grown or shown.
Fully 4 inches wide, these flowers offer a perianth of pure white surrounding a large, frilly cup of ivory-white. The edges of the cup are outlined in rednot golden or orange, but pure fire-engine red, a very rare color in the Narcissus family. These blooms arise on stems 18 to 20 inches high, superb for cutting and outstanding in a mixed planting of daffodil varieties.
Narcissus 'Ring of Fire' blooms in midseason, after the first jonquils and earliest-flowering daffodils have passed but before the tulips have begun. It is suitable for containers as well as garden culture, and withstands rough winds and rains very well. Narcissus 'Ring of Fire' beauty is far more than just petal-deep.
Our Narcissus bulbs are Dutch grown and cured, then shipped to us for delivery to you at proper fall planting time. They are eager to grow and bloom, and will naturalize over time if planted in a congenial location. Set them deep, let the foliage die back completely after the blooms pass in spring, and you will soon find yourself with a colony of glorious color each spring.
