Description / Leucanthemum Realflor® 'Real Solar' Shasta Daisy
Leucanthemum Realflor® 'Real Solar' is a petite perennial plant that grows to about 16 inches tall and 14 inches wide. A floriferous, early to midsummer bloomer with a repeat fall bloom, this garden star sets large3-inchbanana yellow blooms with 3 layers of fancy frilled rays surrounding a golden center. Borne on very strong stems covered in small, elegant, mid-green leaves, the long-lasting blooms phase through soft cream colors as they age and attract pollinators to the garden, including butterflies. These fabulous flowers are great for picking.
A Leucanthemum superbum cultivar, commonly called Shasta daisy, 'Real Solar' has a compact, mounded habit that is wind resistant and needs no staking. Old-fashioned favorites, popular for over a century, Shasta daisies fit beautifully in modern landscapes. Mass this cosmic cutie in garden beds and borders or use in containers and patio pots.
A hardy, easy-grow, easy-care plant, 'Real Solar' Shasta daisy grows best in a sunny spot with average, dry to medium, freely draining soil.
