Description

Pinus Sylvestris, commonly known as Scots pine, is a fast growing, medium sized conifer with stunning evergreen needles and distinctive flaking red brown bark. The light green, twisted needles in their bundles of two will turn a yellow green during the winter months. It is a fast growing, spreading cultivar and will quickly fill your landscape with color and personality. The growth rate slows as the plant ages. It grows best in full sun and moist well drained soil. Not only is it hardy and beautiful but it's tolerant of deer so plant it where you don't want your deer to nibble and it will surely help keep them out of the garden. Add this gorgeous spreader to your landscape as a specimen, an accent for rock gardens, or as a shrub border and you will not be disappointed.
