Description
With excellent blooming power, this evergreen perennial sets loads of long-lasting, pink double flowers with fringed petals, a deep crimson center, and just a hint of fragrance. They attract bees and butterflies and make lovely cut flowers.
The plant has a full, compact, mounding habit of grayish green foliage that adds nice texture to beds, borders, and containers. It's shown to best effect when mass planted and grows well in well-drained, neutral, alkaline, or acid soil. To create a dense plant blanketed in blooms, pinch once after it is well rooted; and to prolong the bloom period, deadhead spent blooms. It is drought tolerant and deer resistant.
This adorable little carnation makes a great gift plant.
