Description
Easy to grow, low maintenance, and cold hardy to Zone 3, this ornamental chive mix of small bulbous perennials form dense clumps of blue-green tubular foliage. The plant flowers in clusters of pink, white, and lavender blooms that can be used as a garnish. It is self-seeding, if not dead-headed, and easily divided.
An excellent kitchen herb and pollinator plant, attracting bees and butterflies, chives have multiple uses. Of course, it can be grown in herb, vegetable, and pollinator gardens, but it can also be grown ornamentally in pots or in mass or group plantings. No matter where you plant it, it's always harvestable as a culinary herb.
