Description

Do you love Butterfly Bushes but don't have the room for a shrub that grows to 5 or 6 feet high and wide or even larger? Or perhaps you'd like to enjoy the colorful butterfly attracting flower wands on your deck or patio? Lucky for you, Buzz™ 'Raspberry' has arrived!

This gorgeous compact Buddleia reaches a mature size of 3 to 5 feet high and about 3 feet wide, perfect for large containers and smaller gardens. And it responds well to shaping. Its bright dark pink plumes stand out all over the upright, semi-bushy habit of attractive medium green-greyish foliage. The fragrant flowers start arriving in the first season, and they last from early to midsummer into fall. What a treat for gardeners and butterflies alike!

The Buzz™ series of Butterfly Bushes was developed by the renowned English plantsmen at Thompson & Morgan. They were inspired to create new hybrids that were more compact and easier to grow, due to the increase in smaller gardening spaces. More than 8 years of breeding and selection brought about this exciting series, and we think you'll be as thrilled as we are!

Plant 'Raspberry' in full sun in well-drained soil. If placing it in a garden bed, it's best to plant in the foreground, as it stays much smaller than ordinary Buddleias. Water and feed regularly, but be sure to neither over water or allow it to dry out. We recommend cutting off any withered branches once the new spring shoots start appearing.
