Description
The closest relative to the Camellia sasanqua, Camellia 'Shi Shi Gashura' has blooms that are a relatively small 2 inches, but they come in abundance. The dark pink blooms begin arriving in October and keep coming into early January.
Extremely popular in the South, this dense, compact evergreen shrub is one of the smaller camellias, a true dwarf, only growing to about 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide. It's perfect for a container, a small hedge, or a foundation planting close to a home, basically anywhere you want a small shrub. But it should be planted in full sun, preferably full morning sun.
