Description / Gardenia 'Double Mint'
Reblooms, reblooms, reblooms. From midsummer through early fall, this compact, robust little shrub sets masses of double-flowered white blooms, wondrously fragrant and so beautiful among glossy evergreen foliage. Add it to your landscape at once.
This gorgeous gardenia boasts double petaled ivory and white blossoms with glossy, evergreen foliage and makes for wonderful freshly cut arrangements. Place the Gardenia 'Double Mint' under a window or in a container on a porch to enjoy the heavenly scent in your home. This tight, evergreen shrub reaches approximately three feet in height and width. Plant this beauty in partial shade to full sun with well-drained soil. Remove darkened blossoms to promote new buds, and prune after the bush is finished flowering in the late fall. The bush is hardy and will bring enjoyment and beauty for years with proper care. It doesn't like competition from tree roots or other larger shrubs, and it does best in smaller landscaping areas or containers.

Love them 6 people found this helpfulThese are small, but robust on arrival. I ordered 15 of these for a foundation planting in an area where I need the resulting plant to not get too large. I have already had some blooms on them.. They did not seem to suffer transplant shock at all and have already begun adding size. Very happy with these and think I will continue to be happy as they reach their full size. Plus, I just adore gardenia and what a bonus to have one that won't grow excessively large and will repeat bloom to boot!
