Description / Rosa The Alnwick Rose®
The Alnwick Rose® is a David Austin® English shrub rose that begins flowering in early summer and flushes throughout the season, often up to first frost. Clusters of 3-inch cuppy blooms open from rounded rich-pink buds to flaunt 120 soft-pink petals and a rich old-rose aroma with a hint of raspberry. With their delicate appearance, the flowers have an enchanting, romantic aura that's ideal for charming bouquets or mixed cut flower arrangements.
The Alnwick Rose is a medium-sized shrub that typically grows to a mature size of 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide, but it may grow taller in optimal conditions. Naturally disease resistant, the upright shrub has a nicely rounded and bushy habit of glossy green leaves. The size of this shrub lends itself to a pretty patio pot or container, but mass planted, it creates a gorgeous flowering rose border or hedge. And it's the perfect addition to a mixed bed.
Named after the Alnwick Garden in the United Kingdom.
