Each crisp blossom is as white as fresh snow and they are so petal-packed that an appealing whorl forms at its center. Tulipa Ice Age doesn't just tolerate the cold - it depends on it to vernalize properly so that it returns next spring. For areas that don't get those much needed low winter temperatures we suggest you refrigerate your bulbs until spring to ensure rebloom. Neutral soil that is very well drained is the ideal environment for these tulips and it is wise to treat your ground with harsh gravel to deter any hungry rodents who love feasting on tender bulbs. To wake your bulbs for spring simply water right after planting and then put the watering can away - tulips flourish in dry conditions.

Gorgeous! A traditional Spring flower in a cold state!

I bought these hoping for some white touches in the garden and frankly for anything new there too. I live in the middle of Alaska. The grand kids and I planted them last Fall and impatiently waited for them to come up this Spring. They were so beautiful, especially mixed with a flame colored tulip! The kids were so excited to see the progress of the plants. I have enjoyed their journey and look forward to seeing them next year! Thanks for the great quality bulbs even a five year old can plant!
