Description / Clematis 'Princess Diana'
Discover the captivating allure of Clematis 'Princess Diana', a reblooming sensation that will become the highlight of your garden setting. This distinctive Clematis variety is celebrated for its reblooming capability, adorning your garden with its unique tulip-shaped blooms from mid- to late summer and again in fall. The soft pink-to-white petals, highlighted by a vivid darker pink stripe, ensure Clematis 'Princess Diana' is a reblooming showstopper in any garden setting.
Unlike typical Clematis varieties that feature wide-open or pendulous flowers, Clematis 'Princess Diana' boasts upright, 2- to 2 1/2-inch flowers. This rare characteristic makes it not only a perfect candidate for adding vertical dimension but also as an exceptional groundcover. Envision a sea of upturned "faces," a garden setting transformed by Clematis 'Princess Diana', creating an unparalleled groundcover spectacle.
This reblooming Clematis thrives beyond the traditional garden setting. Whether in large containers, where it can ascend a trellis or elegantly spill over the edges, or integrated into classic Clematis displays around pillars, lampposts, and trellises, Clematis 'Princess Diana' brings unmatched versatility and beauty. It's particularly enchanting when intertwined with roses, adding a layer of charm to the hybrid teas in your garden setting.
Clematis 'Princess Diana' is a joy to cultivate, reaching a modest height and width of 8 feet, ideal for sunny to partly shaded spots in your garden setting. This reblooming Clematis prefers an eastern exposure, rich, moist soil, and benefits from mulching to keep its roots cool. As a hardy addition to gardens in Zones 4-8, Clematis 'Princess Diana' is recognized for its resilience and is a treasure in diverse climates. Its classification in Pruning Group III makes it a low-maintenance choice for those seeking to enhance their garden setting with a hardy, reblooming groundcover.

Try this..cute 0 people found this helpfulI bought this climber and it takes a couple years to establish a good root system. Slowly a few flowers, and last year it showed good growth and flowered well, blooming lasted 6 to 8 weeks. The spike heads after blooms are interesting as well. Be a patient gardener..the pay off is worth it.
