Description

'Double Pleasure' is sure to please with its wildly vibrant color, luscious petals, and growing simplicity. This Oriental Poppy features twice the petals in a crepe-paper texture bursting in shades ranging from salmon pink to rich watermelon red, with a striking black center contrast marking. Their robust stems make them ideal to cut flowers for arrangements.

It is slightly over two feet in height when it flowers. The magnificent blooms lay flat stretched out when they are fully open, while the innermost center layer stands up to create a full three dimensional flower. The enormous flowers are resilient and lasting, and consistently are double on plants 15 to 18 inches in width.

Oriental Poppies burst with with sumptuous, vivid blooms during May and June, and thrive in any sunny, well drained soil, especially when it is rich in loam. Plants should be spaced 15 to 18 inches apart and watered occasionally if weather is dry in the beginning of the growing season
